Eat More Raw! November 27, 2013 |
I am ThankfulAmidst the hustle and bustle of food preparation and family get togethers, I try to remember what the true meaning of what Thanksgiving is about. For me it is a time to focus on the people in my life that I am so thankful for. I am thankful for all of you who let me drop in and share my thoughts and insights.Several years ago I transitioned from my vegetarian diet to include more raw foods. Learning about the benefits of raw foods and how they made me feel was a new direction for me. I had been living with some health challenges and raw foods helped me. I think we all come to our way of diet and lifestyle choices as we learn what works for us. I am truly grateful that I learned about the benefits of adding in raw foods to my diet. This month I have the pleasure of interviewing Chef AJ on my radio program, The Fresh Cafe. AJ has been a vegan for over 33 years. She has also trained in raw pastries which I find to be a great combination. I love to learn from people that do this work as they share their tips and techniques.
